About
Bring dignity and transparency to one of the hardest decisions a family makes.
CareNavia is a senior-care placement marketplace built on trust — for the families making these choices, and for the care homes doing the work.
The problem with the status quo
For decades, senior-placement agencies have been paid by care homes through large referral fees — often a big share of the first month's rent. Families rarely see it, but that arrangement quietly pushes them toward whoever pays the agency most. Prices are vague. License status gets buried. And a decision that should be about a person becomes a decision shaped by payouts.
Our answer
A different marketplace. Care homes pay a flat subscription — not a percentage of rent. Homes send sealed bids so no one can pay to rank higher. Every price is shown with a verified California license. Advisors inform, never steer. And families keep their contact information private until they decide to share it.

How we're paid
We are transparent about money. This section exists so you can see exactly how.
The senior-placement industry has quietly been paid by care homes through big referral fees for years — often a large share of the first month's rent. That's why we built CareNavia differently. Here is every way we earn.
A flat subscription from care homes
Licensed California care homes pay a flat subscription to join CareNavia and send sealed bids on fitting family requests. There is no per-placement fee, no percentage of rent, and no pay-to-rank.
Optional live advisor sessions for families
Families who want extra help can book a guided advisor session (about $99 for up to two hours, then about $65/hour). Advisors help you understand offers — they never tell you which home to choose.
A small, refundable posting fee
A small refundable posting fee keeps the marketplace serious for care homes and cuts down on unqualified requests. It is refundable if too few qualified offers arrive, or it can be credited toward an advisor session. It is never a charge for a placement.

What we never touch
Things CareNavia will never do
The list matters as much as the revenue streams above.
- We never collect, hold, or take a cut of rent, deposits, or care payments.
- We never take a percentage of anything a family pays a care home.
- We never let care homes pay to rank higher — sealed bids, equal footing.
- We never sell your personal information.
- We'll tell you when a care home isn't the right next step, even though care homes are who pay us.
- We never tell families which home to choose. Advisors inform; families decide.
Our identity
Transparent. Not "free." Not "unbiased."
We choose our words carefully. Care homes pay to be in this marketplace, so no one honest can call this service "free" or CareNavia "unbiased." What we can be — and are — is transparent: flat fees, sealed competitive bids, and advisors who inform but never steer. You'll always know exactly how we're paid, because it's written right here.
Who we are
A small California team.
CareNavia was built by a team that has felt this decision personally — the phone calls, the tours, the confusion about what things really cost. We're headquartered in California and starting where we know best: the greater Sacramento region.
